Raja Rammohan Roy Academy (Cambridge School), Dehradun, celebrated the 77th Republic Day of India with great pride, discipline, and patriotic fervour..
The celebration witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of Pre-Primary to Class XII, along with teachers and staff members, reflecting the spirit of unity and national integrity. The programme commenced at 9:00 a.m. with the unfurling of the National Flag by the Principal, Ms. Bharti Vishnoi, followed by the National Anthem played by the school band, creating a solemn and dignified atmosphere.
The Opening Ceremony of the March Past marked the beginning of the formal proceedings. This was followed by the Inter-House March Past Competition, where students displayed exemplary discipline, coordination, and team spirit.
Subsequently, the Head Girl delivered an inspiring address, emphasizing the values enshrined in the Indian Constitution, the importance of national unity, and the responsibilities of students as conscientious citizens.
The cultural programme added vibrancy to the celebration with a Hindi patriotic group song “??? ???? ????”, an energetic patriotic dance titled “Rhythms of Patriotism”, and thought-provoking street plays—“???? ?? ?????” (Hindi) and “Two Faces of Earth” (English)—which sensitively highlighted social and environmental concerns.
The celebration concluded with the Principal’s address, motivating students to uphold constitutional ideals and contribute positively towards the progress of the nation.
The Republic Day celebration stood as a proud reflection of patriotism, unity, and the school’s commitment to nurturing responsible citizens of India.
