AC Deb Memorial Inter School Oration Contest

Date 25 Aug 2023

31st edition of the coveted was held on 25 August AC Deb Memorial Inter School Oration Contest 2023 at the Cambridge School Srinivaspuri. This year’s event was heavily subscribed with 19 schools participating from Delhi NCR with the Raja Rammohan Roy Academy being the only outstation team. The contest was held in two categories, Divisions A & B. The former was open to the students of classes VII, VIII and IX, while latter saw the fielding of students of classes X, XI and XII.

The school was well represented by Ananya Matta in Division A and Aditi Chaudhary in Division B. Ananya spoke on the topic, ‘But he who dares not grasp the thorn, should never crave the rose’, a quote by the celebrated author Anne Bronte, while Aditi expressed her views on the topic, ‘The mind is not a vessel to be filled but a fire to be kindled’, words by the ancient Greek philosopher Plutarch.

By the dint of their hard work and dedication, the students rose to the occasion and gave an extremely good account of themselves and the school. Ananya spoke with extreme clarity of thought and Aditi’s confidence was there for everyone to see. Their performances received thunderous applauses from the audience and the judges appreciated their gift of gab and the cogent thoughts put across by both the speakers in a very lucid manner.

Participating in the Inter-School Oration Contest was a remarkable experience for the students of Raja Rammohan Roy Academy .It provided them with an opportunity to showcase their oratory skills, gain valuable experience, and interact with peers from other schools. We are immensely proud of our students’ achievements and look forward to participating in more such events in the future.
