NEP workshop by Dr. J C Pant

On 27th March, 2024, an illuminating workshop was organised for the teaching staff of Raja Rammohan Roy Academy in the Multi purpose hall. The workshop was taken by a renowned educationist, CBSE National Award winner and founder Principal of DPS, Bulandsher, Dr. Jagdish Chandra Pant. For the past 40 years, he has been involved in training teachers, students' counseling, institutional planning and so forth. 

The primary objective of the workshop was to enlighten teachers about the key aspects of the New Education Policy (NEP). The aim was to provide a comprehensive understanding of the policy's objectives, changes, and implications for the education sector.

The history of education in India at the advent of the British, the various educational policies and reforms in India were the starting points of the workshop. Dr. Pant laid stress on the importance of learning objectives and outcomes in the classroom. Furthermore, he emphasised on a child centric approach to education and prudent evaluation of children during assessment. Queries and concerns regarding the NEP implementation were addressed by Dr. Pant, fostering clarity and confidence among teachers.

The workshop concluded with a renewed commitment from teachers to embrace the principles and objectives of the New Education Policy. Participants expressed enthusiasm for implementing innovative teaching practices, adopting learner-centered approaches, and contributing to the holistic development of students in alignment with the NEP's vision.
