Raja Ram Mohan Roy Academy, Dehradun, conducted Inter-House English Debate Competition on 23 August,2025. The event was conducted in two categories—middle school  and Senior school with enthusiastic participation from all four houses.

In the Middle School Category, the topic was “Materialism has led to the decline of civilisation and human values,” while in the Senior School Category, students debated on “Reliance on AI tools will make students less creative.” The Participants impressed the audience with their confidence, logical reasoning, and persuasive rebuttals.

The competition was judged by Ms. Mrinalini Sabbarwal and Ms. Sunita Panwar.

The Principal, Ms. Bharti Vishnoi, addressed the gathering, appreciating the hard work of the participants and encouraging them to continue developing their communication and critical thinking skills.

After an engaging session of debates, the results were announced:

• Middle School Winner: Shivalik House | Runner-Up: Satpura House

• Senior School Winner: Shivalik House | Runner-Up: Vindhya House

The Best Speakers were:

• Middle School: Vivaan Gurung (Satpura House) and Anika Negi (Shivalik House)

• Senior School: Ananya Matta and Ashutosh Jha (both from Shivalik House)
