National Sports Day, commemorating the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand, was celebrated with enthusiasm at Raja Rammohan Roy Academy on the 29th and 30th of August, 2025.

The programme began with a special morning assembly highlighting Major Dhyan Chand’s life and achievements. It was followed by a quiz competition and inter-team events, including cricket, chess, and volleyball. The teams were named Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad, Subhas Chandra Bose, and Rajguru. After spirited contests, Bhagat Singh Team lifted the overall championship trophy.

The Principal, Mrs. Bharti Vishnoi, addressed the gathering, praised Major Dhyan Chand’s values of dedication and discipline, congratulated the winners, and encouraged students to participate actively in sports.

The two-day celebration inspired students to embrace teamwork, discipline, and fair play through active involvement in games.
