SPECIAL ASSEMBLY - UTTARAKHAND DIWAS

A special assembly was conducted  by the students of Classes III A and IV A to celebrate Uttarakhand Diwas, the State Foundation Day of Uttarakhand, on 8th November 2025. The aim of the assembly was to make students aware of the rich culture, traditions, and natural beauty of the state.

The programme began with a prayer, followed by the Thought of the Day, which highlighted the importance of unity and pride in one’s state. The students then presented a short speech on the formation of Uttarakhand, explaining how the state was carved out of Uttar Pradesh on 9th November 2000. This was followed by a skit on the Chipko Movement, emphasizing the importance of environmental protection. An energetic folk dance performance by the students of Class IV A beautifully depicted the vibrant culture of Uttarakhand.

The assembly concluded with a brief address by the Headmistress, who appreciated the efforts of the young participants and encouraged everyone to respect and preserve the cultural heritage of Uttarakhand.
